Space is limited. All programs are first come, first serve.

Baby Bubblers (6 months-2 years)

Parents and children learn together to increase a child’s comfort level in the water. The course builds a foundation of basic skills, such as arm and leg movements and breath control. This course helps introduce water safety concepts, encouraging a healthy recreational habit that your entire family can enjoy. Classes offered twice a week. Participants may attend multiple classes. Minimum of 2 and a maximum of 10 babies per class. BREC asks that all participants preregister. Payment will be taken the evening of the class.

Water Exploration Class (2-4 years)

This class teaches the beginning stages of swimming. Includes blowing bubbles, leg kicks, submerged face, arm actions, and water safety. Class is taught in 3′ 6″ of water.

Swim Lessons (all ages)

This class teaches more advanced stages of swimming such as leg kicks, arm strokes, swimming under water, front crawl, back crawl, diving, streamline swimming techniques and water safety. Class is taught in a water depth of 3′ 6″ or 8″ depending on skill level.

Adult Swim Lessons

This class teaches the beginning stages of swimming as well as some basic stroke technique. Includes water comfort, submerged face, arm actions, and water safety. Class is taught in a water depth of 3′ 6″.

Aqua Zumba

This class integrates Zumba formula with traditional aqua fitness disciplines. It is a safe, challenging, water-based workout that combines cardio-conditioning, body-toning, and fun. Class is taught in water depth of 3′ 6″. Classes canceled due to weather will not be made up.

Water Aerobics

Paddle Up 1

Learn to paddle a sea kayak while enjoying exciting Liberty Lagoon. This program will teach entry-level participants. Safety equipment and kayaks are provided on-site as part of the program registration fee. Upon completion of the Paddle Up 1 class, participants can move onto the more advanced classes BREC offers.  BREC asks that all participants preregister for the class. Payment will be taken the morning of the class. Classes are limited to 10 participants.

Stand Up Paddle Board Yoga

Join us at beautiful Liberty Lagoon as “Yoga with Brandi” guides you through a flow of poses and movements designed to increase your core strength and flexibility. A lovely way to send you into your weekend more relaxed. Through a partnership with Muddy Water Paddle Company.

Shockwave – Advanced Rider Surfing

Liberty Lagoon will be offering an advanced rider timeframe this summer. An advanced rider is one that uses the Flow Board (standup board) to surf as well as the body board. On Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings advanced riders will have access to the Shockwave from 4:30-6:30 p.m. This timeframe will be for advanced riders ONLY and will be offered at normal admissions pricing. For advanced riders, a waiver must be signed. If a rider is under the age of 18, a parent or guardian must sign the waiver for the participant to ride.

**If no advanced riders arrive, Shockwave usage will continue as normal**

ShockWave Surf Nights

Body Boarding
Participants surf the FlowRider using a body board. This can be done laying down or kneeling on the board. Participants will learn the basics to riding the ShockWave on the body board before advancing to riding a stand-up board.

Novice/Instructional Stand-Up
Participants surf the ShockWave standing up on a board known as a “Flowboard.” This night is for participants with little or no stand-up board experience. For those with no experience,  instruction will be given on how to properly ride a Flowboard. It is suggested that a rider first attend a body board night prior to riding a Flowboard.
Wednesdays
Aug. 16 & 30; Sept. 6 & 20

Advanced Stand-Up
Participants must be experienced in riding a Flowboard and must attend body boarding and novice nights prior. Skill level must be approved by staff.
Tuesdays & Thursdays
Aug. 8, 10, 15, 17, 22, 24, 29 & 31; Sept. 7, 14 & 21
6-8 p.m.

Admission Pricing:
$10 to surf per person, per night
$3 to enter per person, per night

Shockwave Safety Rules:
Must be 48″ or taller to ride
Maximum weight to ride: 300 pounds
Minors must have a waiver signed by guardian to participate.
